“I’m Steffen, an engineer from Germany with a passion for building things, solving technical problems

and sharing what I learn along the way.

My professional background is in mechanical engineering and special machine construction, with a

strong focus on CAD and mechanical design. Over the years, I’ve learned that I enjoy the entire

process – from an idea or a problem, through design and prototyping, to a working part.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time building things myself. I’m into 3D printing, model aircraft

and F3B competition flying. These projects are often where I learn the most – and they frequently lead

to new ideas, tools and solutions.

Photography is another part of what I do. I particularly enjoy photographing people, landscapes and

model aviation – not just documenting what happens, but trying to capture the atmosphere and the

moments in between.

Why this website?

“I created this website as a place to collect and share the things I’m working on. Some of it is

professional – engineering, CAD and 3D printing. Some of it is simply driven by curiosity: a model I’m

building, a technical problem I’ve solved, a competition I’ve photographed or something new I’ve

learned. If something I’ve figured out can save someone else a few hours of frustration, I’d rather

write it down once and share it.”
